JMIF organized the fact-finding mission for USA in order to collect information on legal metrology system and the latest economic/business trends. The delegation was sent from October 27-November 3, 2019.
In the United States, both national (Federal) and State laws on weights and measures apply. The delegate first visited Division of Measurement Standards (DMS) of California Department of Food and Agriculture to investigate legal metrology system in the state of California, as a representative of 50 US states.
In San Francisco, the delegate visited the Apple Visitor Center and AMAZON GO to know the latest trend as well as Salesforce.com to learn about their human resource development.
In Washington, the delegation visited NIST to know more about federal level of US legal metrology system and NIST’s involvement with the system.
